Our final writers' room for the year! This event is for any Pacific Islands Writers at any stage of their career (from emerging to experienced) aimed to provide an opportunity to network, to work on your own projects and to find out more about the upcoming opportunities for Writers in Aotearoa.

About the Event
Please join us for our last writer's room for 2022! It will be a full day event to allow more time for you to work on your writing before we wrap up for the year. With a special guest speaker and bonus panel Q&A with our very experienced filmmakers from the Komiti Nikki Si'ulepa, Stallone Vaiaoga-Ioasa & Jeremiah Tauamiti.Â
Special guest speaker is Samoan Writer/Editor/Director Damon Fepulea'i.
Writer and director Damon Fepulea'i trained as an editor before turning to directing. His credits include Dawn Raids and Life After Footy, two documentaries exploring Pacific Islanders experiences in New Zealand, and comedies Jono and Ben, Funny Girls and Mean Mums. His short film Watermark was invited to 20 international film festivals. Damon also co-wrote and Directed feature film Red, White and Brass. Film will be released in the first half of 2023 in cinemas across the country.
