About the Event

This event is for any Pacific Islands Writers at any stage of their career (from emerging to experienced) aimed to provide an opportunity to network, to work on your own projects and to find out more about the upcoming opportunities for Writers in Aotearoa.

Wellington writers come and join our monthly writers' room. We are excited to meet you all in person. 

Location: 

Te Whaea: National Dance & Drama Centre 11 Hutchison Road, Newtown, Wellington. 

Limited tickets available for this event! But don't worry it will also be available online for those who are not in Wellington. Just select if you are attending this event in person or online when confirming tickets. If you cannot make the event in person, please let us know!

0945 - Writing Exercise facilitated by PISA Komiti

1000 - Personal Writing session and One on Ones with PISA Komiti (Everyone works on their own writing in blocks)

1155 - Closing & Opportunity for further networking.

Facilitated by PISA Komiti Stallone Vaiaoga-Ioasa (Three Wise Cousins 2016, Hibiscus & Ruthless 2018, Take Home Pay 2019, Mama’s Music Box 2020, I Got You series). Stallone will run through a couple of creative writing exercises and the rest of the time will be dedicated to your own projects. This could be time spent on planning, setting goals, brainstorming new ideas or working on a current one. Network with other Pacific writers!

What to bring:

Please bring along your own personal devices to write on or your own notebook and pen- whatever your preference is for the Personal Writing session.
